Kandy National Museum

Kandy National Museum is located behind the Temple of Tooth, in a building of historical and architectural interest. Kandy National Museum provides a perfect picture for travellers of the history of Kandyan period of the 17th-18th century. Kandy National Museum houses rare manuscripts, royal apparel, life-size models of the lost King and Queen of Kandy, and a variety of antiquities which are donated to the Sri Dalada Maligawa by kings, noblemen, and other devotees. The Museum is closed on Fridays & Saturdays.
