Adam Peak, the most popular hill trail in Sri Lanka of about 2200m above from sea level is a different type of Hill climb to witness a spectacular sun rise or to enjoy a panoramic view of Sri Lanka. There are several resting places along the routes. Adam’s Peak is also a pilgrimage to all of the world’s major religions. There are two popular starting points from the directions of Hatton or Ratnapura. Hatton side is about 2 hours from Nuwara Eliya. Both routes are well lit and marked. Best season to tour Adam’s Peak is between December and April when the summit is not misty and relatively dry.
